CONCACAF U-15 Championships 2013: Team Aruba ready to face St Martin today.


Cayman Islands: The Aruban boys who won their first match Tuesday are ready to face St Martin. Yesterday they sat down and analyzed their whole game against Bahamas. Team members who arrived late to this meeting had to do push-ups, below we see how even coaches who arrived late were made to do push up.

  


The boys spent their off day yesterday preparing in the gym doing activities like stretching & running on the treadmill guided all under watchful eyes of their coaches.


Their work in the gym was followed by speed up Recovery and performance enhancing ice bath therapy.The water was really cold as we can see below, but the boys were good sports about it.


While the Aruban boys had the day off yesterday the CONCACAF  U-15 Championships continued. In Group C Curacao faced Guadeloupe at George Town, Cayman Islands (The Annex). Guadeloupe made its debut at the CONCACAF Under-15 Championship an impressive one with a 6-0 win over Curacao.  Geordy Choisi scored the only goal of the first half, but the eventual winners struck for the five in the second stanza.  Loic Antonides made it 2-0 ten minutes after the break.  Then, Luther Archimede (62’, 64’) scored twice in two minutes, before Man of the Match Lory Chouan netted his only goal of the encounter seconds later.  Ludwig Francillette got his name on the scoresheet with two minutes left in regulation. Goals were scored by:  Diylan Andrade 28’; Darixon Vuelto 36’, 38’; Diego Rosales 45’; Italo Ramos 69’   The Man of the Match was Darixon Vuelto (Honduras)

Also in Group C Honduras faced Saint Martins at George Town, Cayman Islands (The Annex). Darixon Vuelto scored twice early in the second half to lead Honduras to a 5-0 win over Saint Martin in the opening match for each at the CONCACAF Under-15 Championship.  The Caribbean side performed valiantly in the first half, holding the Catrachos to a single goal from Diylan Andrade.  Vuelto struck for his brace within three minutes after the interval.  Diego Rosales made it 4-0 in the 45th minute and Italo Ramos completed the scoring with a minute left in regulation. Goals were scored by:  Diylan Andrade 28’; Darixon Vuelto 36’, 38’; Diego Rosales 45’; Italo Ramos 69’ The Man of the Match was Darixon Vuelto (Honduras)

In Group D El Salvador faced Antigua & Barbuda. El Salvador got its CONCACAF Under-15 Championship campaign off to an impressive start with a 3-0 Group D victory over Antigua & Barbuda.  A double strike from Emerson Palacios in the 69th and 72nd minutes cemented the result after Nestor Torres gave the Central American side a 54th minute lead. Following an evenly contested first half that ended scoreless, the Salvadorans played some attractive football, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.  Antigua looked threatening at times, but couldn’t find the back of the net. Goals we scored by: Nestor Alfaro Torres 54’; Emerson Rodriguez Palacios 69’, 72’ Man of the Match was Kevin Martinez (El Salvador). 

 

The last match for the day was against Martinique & Puerto Rico. In the most competitive fixture of the competition thus far, Puerto Rico rallied from a one-goal deficit to defeat Martinique, 2-1.  Man of the Match John Henriquez goal with four minutes left on the clock broke a 1-1 stalemate and gave the Blue Hurricane a dramatic win.  Youri Louis Arthur gave Martinique a sixth minute lead and to see Marco Arocha equalize six minutes later.  The game remained level until Henriquez came through with the heroics.  It was the first game of the tournament in which both teams scored. Goals were scored by: Youri Louis Arthur 6’ -- Marco Arocha 12’, John Henriquez 66’ Man of the Match was John Henriquez (Puerto Rico).
