Recently two Aruban triathletes Renze Postma & Chester Hill went to a training's camp in Colombia. They were accompanied by their coach Nicolaas Robert. Renze & Chester learned a lot while in Colombia and gained much experience they practiced running technique & had to cycle up hills, the swimming training's varied from in the pool to in lakes which was scary at times . The high altitude was hard at first but the boys got used to it.
They also competed in two triathlon competitions while there.Duck Blabber was present today at the airport to welcome them back to Aruba.
Here are their results:
17th Festival de Verano 2013: Copa Colombia de Triatlón =
Renze Postma 3rd overall Male Junior & 1st in Age Category
Chester Hill 10th Overall Male Junior
Huila, Neiva, Colombia Triathlon: Renze Postma 2nd overall Chester Hill 6th overall
We asked Chester how his race went at Neiva:
"Well the swimming part went well I felt good at the last 100m my shoulder started hurting. The cycling part my speed wasn't how I wanted it to be their was a lot of turns so I couldn't speed up like I wanted to. The Running part went bad because I slipped and fell the day before and my foot was hurting because of that. I still finished with a pretty good time of 1:08."
Duck Blabber would like to congratulate both Renze & Chester with their acomplishments.
