Team BMX Aruba with successful training's camp in USA


As part of the training plan for the preparation towards the South American Youth Games 2013 which will take place this month in Lima Peru, Team BMX Aruba members Zaithyel Soekander & Aschwin Dabian traveled to USA to participate in a 9 day training's camp. 
 
As part of the training's camp they participated in the Derby City Nationals 2013 which took place in Louisville, Kentucky on during the days 23rd to 25th of August. The championship consisted of 3 day competition so in total they competed in 6 races, seeing that both athletes raced in Expert 16 & Open Class category. 

For 3 days the athletes dedicated themselves to nothing but the races. Naturaly it was also a great opportunity for them to measure forces against their North American opponents. For Zaithyel who is member of the american team GHP, it was at the same time a good opportunity to represent his team accumulate points for team GHP. 

The results were as following:
Zaithyel qualified for all his 6 races and made it to the finals in all of them, y conquered 3 gold titles, 2 bronze titles & a 4th place position. 
Ashwin also qualified for all his 6 races of which he made it to the finals in 4 of them. He conquered a silver title, a bronze title & two 4th position results.

The following Monday they departed towards Cape Coral, Florida to continue the training's camp. They went through technical,physical & mental preparation in the hands of their coach Mr. Pedro Estaba. In the weekend of 6th to 8th of September they participated in the Florida State USA Championship 2013. Both of them raced 2 races total in Expert 16 category. This Championship was also very successful for both athletes. Both athletes qualified to the finals in their races.

The results were as following:
Zaithyel conquered 2 gold titles & Aschwin conquered 2 silver titles.

On September 17th both athletes will make their way to Lima, Peru to represent Aruba in the BMX discipline. The expectations are very high for both BMX athletes seeing their results up until now.
