Aruba's T5 team is ready to face the other countries that will be competing in the T5 Championship Curacao 2013. Clifford Rasmijn is one of the Brazil Taekwondo Stichting trainers and the T5 team coach. The selected team is in full preparation together with their coach Clifford ready to represent Aruba in October 2013 in Curacao at the T5 Championship,
The confirmed participating countries at the T5 Championship are Aruba, Curacao, Suriname, Venezuela & St. Domingo.
The T5 Aruba team consists of Jonathan Baez of Noord Taekwondo Center, Cleff Dede of San Nicolas Taekwondo Center and Hakeem Lowe, Rasheed Lowe & Justin Arrindell of Brazil Taekwondo Stichting they are ready fro Curacao. There is almost 8 more weeks to go for this event, but Clifford Rasmijnhas his training program hinca well organised and is working really hard with the teami. Duck Blabber sat down for an interview with Aruba's T5 coach Clifford Rasmijn
Duck Blabber: How long have you been practicing taekwondo?
Clifford Rasmijn: I have been practicing for 7 years.
Duck Blabber:How long have you been coaching?
Clifford Rasmijn: I have been coaching for 4 years.
Duck Blabber: What did you think about Russel Benebys workshop?
Clifford Rasmijn: His workshop was really good he brought all the new things happening in taekwondo right now.
Duck Blabber: Is it hard coaching the young kids?
Clifford Rasmijn: well i used to fight & coach at the same time becasue i really wanted to fight but i was also in charge that is the hardest part.
Duck Blabber:What's the funnest thing about coaching the young kids?
Clifford Rasmijn:The funnest part is seeing everyone win medals and best team awards.
Duck Blabber:What's the strongest point about the team chosen to fight at the T5 championship in Curacao?
Clifford Rasmijn: Well the strongest point is their friendship they support each other and they work hard together they push each other to move forward.
Duck Blabber:What points do they need improving in?
Clifford Rasmijn: They need to be more aggressive and work on their speed
Duck Blabber: Any tips for youngsters practicing taekwondo?
Clifford Rasmijn: Train hard listen to your coaches and do your best and you will defeat anyone who is infront of you.
Duck Blabber:Do you have a message to the youth?
Clifford Rasmijn: Yes! pick a sport stay in it train hard because you will go far in life.
