ODESUR: Day 4 of competition for Aruba


SWIMMING: Mikel Schreuders came in 10th place in the 200m Freestyle qualifiers.
                       Jordy Groters came in 2nd place in the 50m Breaststroke qualifiers. In the finals Jordy                                  Groters came in 2nd place earning him a silver medal.

CYCLING:    Cherley van der Linden came in 1st place in the TIME TRIALS.
                      Oriana Thielman came in 9th place in the TIME TRIALS.
                      Eugene Dirskz came in 5th place in the TIME TRIALS.
                      Jonathan Croes came in 7th place in the TIME TRIALS.







ODESUR: Day 3 of competition for Aruba

SWIMMING: Jordy Groters came in 7th place in 200m Individual Medley qualifiers and qualifies to the                              finals. In the finals Jordy Groters came in 4th place.
                       Mikel Schreuders came in 10th place in the 200m Individual Medley qualifiers.
                       Daniella van den Berg came in 5th place in the 200m Freestyle qualifiers and qualified to the                          finals. In the finals Daniella van den Berg came in 4th place.

TRIATHLON: Chester Hill came in 7th place.

TAEKWONDO: Myrdiano Ruiz was defeated by Chils in 55kg category.

CYCLING: Oriana Thielman finished 11th in the MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE.
                   Cherley van der Linden finished 12th in the MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE.
                   Eugene Dirskz finished 12th in the MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE.
                   Aschwin Dabian did not finish the MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE.

ODESUR: Day 2 of competition for Aruba

SWIMMING: Jordy Groters finished 2nd in 100m Breaststroke qualifiers to qualify to the finals and                                    managed to win a Bronze medal in the 100m Breaststroke finals.
                       Mikel Schreuders finished 8th in 100m Breaststroke qualifiers to qualify to the finals and                                managed to finish in 6th place.
                       Joseph Winterdal finished 17th in 50m Freestyle qualifiers.
                       Daniella van den Berg 9th in 100m Freestyle.

CYCLING:    Cherley van der Linden finished 6th in the Road Race event.
                      Oriana Thielman got a flat tire which slowed her down leaving her to finish in 14th place.
                      Eugene Dirskz finished 13th in the Road Race event.
                      Jonathan Croes finished 17th in the Road Race event.

SAILING:      Mack van den Eerenbeemt finished 2nd in his race #3 & 3rd in his race #4 puting him in 3rd                         place in the overall points system up until now.

TAEKWONDO: Jada Meija wins a Bronze medal.

ODESUR: Day 1 of competition for Aruba


SWIMMING:       Daniella van den Berg earned a Bronze medal in 800m Freestyle. 
                             Jordy Groters finished 8th in 100m Freestyle Finals.
                             Jospeh Winterdal finished 12th in 100m Butterfly stroke qualifiers. 

CYCLING BMX: Zaithyel Soekander crashes in the first round and was unable to continue his race.                                          Aschwin Dabian came in 2nd place. 

BOXING:             Guillermo Kelkboom lost to technical knockdown in 3rd round against Uruguay 

SAILING:             Mack van den Eerenbeemt finished 5th in his Race #1 and he finished 3rd in his race #2

CAC Bodybuilding Championship 2013: 4 Aruban bodybuilders qualified to the next round.

Yesterday the Aruban team competed and managed to qualify for the next round. the following team Aruba members qualified.

After the competition the athletes had a well deserved cheat meal.

Aruban Bodybuilders ready to compete in Dominican Republic.


The Aruban Bodybuilders are ready to represent Aruba to the best of their ability. Yesterday after their arrival they went straight to carb loading to be at their best.

This morning they are excited and waiting to compete Duck Blabber wishes them the best of luck!



The South American Youth Games Inaugurated.


In a ceremony held in the Plaza de Armas, the South American Youth Games was inaugurated yesterday, competition will be held at various venues in Lima and will serve for the preparation of figures with a view to the 2016 Rio Olympics and Tokyo 2020.
This competition, which will take place until 29 September, 14 countries participate in athletics, badminton, boxing, canoeing, cycling, diving, fencing, gymnastics, judo, weightlifting, wrestling, swimming, rowing, tae kwon do, tennis, table tennis, triathlon, sailing and beach volleyball.
